About me

I am a young photographer in that I have only been seriously learning about photography since 2007. I really begin to pursue it as my wife and I anticipated the birth of our first child. I had always been interested in photography, but the prospect of dealing with film and processing kept me away. As digital SLRs became a solid and affordable alternative I could no longer stay away. I was ecstatic to get my first digital SLR, a Canon Digital Rebel XT. It was a great camera to learn from, not being sure how serious I would ultimately be with photography. I have recently upgraded to a Canon 40D and am very happy with it.

While I am not a professional photographer (by any means), photography is still a passionate hobby of mine.  I have learned so much over the last couple of years and hope to pass on some of that knowledge through the blog. I have so much more to learn and am excited about all the resources that are available to young photographers today. Hopefully this blog will be a witness to how much more I will learn in the years to come.
